Life is funny isn’t, one day its first day of kindergarten, Next thing you know, you’re walking across the stage a high school graduate. School was usually a good thing for me. But, it also contained some ups and downs. Most of my ups came earlier in my school career. And as for my downs, those all came when I got to high school. I saw myself as being a student who was trying to fit in with the wrong people. And with me trying to do that, came a significant amount of disappointments. Such as allowing my grades to slip, inappropriate behavior in my classes, and staying back and almost not graduating on time.
Today, I plan on talking about how I overcame my academic challenges. First, when I was in the 10th grade, one class that always got to me was Biology. And for the longest time, I struggled on classwork, homework, projects, scientific presentations, and open class discussions. It really took me a while to realize that all I needed to do is to have a sit down with my teacher and talk about ways I can increase my grade in her class. So we sat down and we talked about me and her having personal study sessions and also me not being afraid to raise my hand and ask questions about what we were discussing in class. So me doing these things really elevated my grade from a low D to a high B in her class. When I was able to overcome such a terrible grade in Biology to a massive increase, I was able to increase my GPA.
