The value of education has always been something that I have taken pride in since a young age. Looking back at my accomplishments from elementary school to now, I understand that a continued education into college is a necessity. School for me has always been a priority and I have big desires for myself each year. Every year I work hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA, pushing myself to try and become better each day. With my father being in the military and my mom working hard to care for our family, I can see how much of an impact a good education will affect you.
Education for me acts as stepping stones in my life. Looking back on preschool till now, everything I know is because of how I’ve been educated. The fundamental basics are taught building upon each other as you move throughout your life. Without education, I believe we would feel as if we had no purpose. We would feel useless not having any knowledge to apply to our life.
Here shortly, in May of 2023, when I throw my cap in the air, I will be half way done with my education. I will be making decisions which will affect my life forever. What will I do? Who do I want to be or be known for? This part of my life is where I see the meaning of education playing the biggest role. Education is what gives me the capability to reach my desired dreams. It allows me to feel accomplished knowing I can progress and complete whatever I put my mind to. I feel a sense of pride knowing my education will give me opportunities nothing else can. As I have big dreams for myself, I know the only way is to move forward on these educational stepping stones to eventually receive my desired career.
If selected for this scholarship, I will put the meaning of education as top priority and remember it is only for me to grow. Each phase of education is acting as a stepping stone to help me reach my dreams. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
