When I was younger, I went back and forth a lot about what my destiny was meant to be. Would I be a scientist who changed the world with her ground-breaking ideas and technologies? Would I be a fashion designer, who was sought out by everyone, placing herself as a constant in the development of fashion? Or would I be a musician, inspiring people all around the world and giving people something to connect to?

And after years of thinking, I think I can safely say that my legacy will be that I was good to other people.

That is one thing that I would tell my younger self. Don’t spend so much time worrying about what you’ll do- you don’t have a singular passion, and that’s a wonderful thing.

Focus on who you’ll become. And who you’ll become is a wonderful person (trust me, I should know). You’re a good friend, a good daughter, a good granddaughter, and a good person.

What you were put on this world to do was make any community you’re in at least a bit better than you found it. You give strangers your food because they said they had not eaten yet. You’re your best friend’s emergency contact. Your roommates love you. You bring people together wherever you go.

You’re like a speck of stardust, making everything you touch glow. You are here to be good to others, and you’re doing so beautifully. Don’t worry too much about everything else.
