What education means to me by Eli - October 2022 Scholarship Essay

Education to me means that students must be aware of what they are learning and they have to copy and paste what they have learned. I believe that teachers focus on more of the students' need to be cramped with school and lessons, and they don’t even pay attention to how many students are exhausted. Many teachers expect for their students to understand what they teach and they don’t understand that students are not understanding since they are so blindsided about the way they teach. For example, my english teacher told me I was incorrect on my bellwork because, she wanted me to agree with her reasoning and not know my own opinion I had to begin with. I don’t understand that teachers just expect us to understand what they repeat.

Education also means that there is more focus on the drainage mentally on many students and some schools don’t focus on the topic of mental health so many students are left by themselves and don’t have strong support to talk to someone. I also believe that many teachers throughout the U.S won't allow students to talk about mental health and won't allow the students to be their true selves. I also think that if education is seen as better than mental health then teachers should focus on teaching ways to help mental health and help the students more and keep them ingaged.

Education also means that the teachers mainly just make students do things that they don’t want to do and they push the students to hard until they break. Many teachers don’t understand that many students need breaks and they refurse to give them breaks or even an second to themselves. I also think that teachers mainly focus on what they need to be done and what they need to achieve to be a good teacher.
