The Ultimate Success strategies by Eli - December 2017 Scholarship Essay
There are many different ways students approach an assignment. Some go out and do it in its entirety by the end of the day. Some finish it in the first week. Some seem to never have it finished until the night before or morning of class. Can someone really say which of these strategies are best? With the diversity of people who are in a school of some sort there really is no defiant “Ultimate strategy for success,” but rather many individual strategies.
Those students who get it done the first day are often the ones others look to for help. They generally have little time for anything that does not directly relate to school. This strategy is great if one has the drive and motivation to work that hard all day long in school. For those who don’t have this drive it would make us feel like our head is going to explode.
Finishing in the first week seems to be the next best place to look. People who finish there are generally motivated to do their school, but have other time commitments. They make school their top priority and it shows in the quality of the work they produce. They also give themselves a little time for other activities weather they are work or fun.
The night before crowd are often called procrastinators and are sometimes thought to not be as intelligent. The one thing to remember is theses students are capable of producing exceptional work on the spur of the moment with little to no effort. Being able to do that may possibly mean many of these students are much smarter than they get credit for. They get their work done, but their priorities lie with work or a social life.
I have used all of these strategies throughout my educational career. I have no defiant answer as to which one is the ultimate strategy. I think that largely depends on the class as well as where you are at in life at the time. Many times other commitments have gotten in the way of being the first day or first week category, but I don’t always wait till the morning before either. It us up to us to decide which strategy to use and when.
