We are one by Eleanor - April 2018 Scholarship Essay

What if every student graduated high school? The #WEAREONE means so much in such simple words. Education to me is not limited to just teachers or adults with a piece of paper.
I think education is teaching so much more than numbers and authors. I think teaching students how to be happy, time manage, and how to support others are the greatest lessons that are never formally taught. Teachers inspire their students. Whether it's giving extra time to complete an assignment or helping a student who doesn't learn fast, teachers are always willing to help. If students came together with teachers under the #WEAREONE it could be the start of something great. A student could get inspired to ask for help, and a teacher could be even more willing to help out their pupils. Students and teachers go hand in hand. Teachers teach the next generation to go out and do more and then teach the next generation to do more. By inspiring innovators teachers really do so much to keep our society going. Education is more than a classroom. To me, education is banding together to teach each other the way of life. To teach our fellow classmates that even if you don't understand the problem we are willing to help. To teacher the teacher that not everyone learns that way. Education is more than books and words. Working together to make the world a better place. #WEAREONE connecting more than just teachers and students, we are connecting the world.
