What Does Education Mean to You? by Egypt - October 2022 Scholarship Essay
Not everyone will have the same point of view on finishing their education. Everyone doesn't want to finish their twelve years and have to do an extra 2-4 years after that. But most that do, try to enjoy the moment. For me, it might be the same. Finishing school has always been something I've wanted to do since starting school. Getting the chance to actually finish the last year is an amazing opportunity not everyone gets to achieve. I chose to stay and finish these years for my family. I also need a degree in order to achieve my dreams of being a Forensic Scientist. Getting your education could help you achieve those goals you might have for yourself later in life.
Of course twelve years plus another four might be a lot but how else do you plan on starting your own business without knowing how to finance or investing the right amount of money for it. As stated in the first paragraph, I'm completing my education for my family, my cousins, the people who had so much faith in me from the start. It's all for them. Before my cousin passed, all he ever asked me to do was finish school so he could watch me walk across that stage, however he's no longer here and that's the only motivation I have as of now. Yes, there were times where i didn't feel the need to graduate but I got over it for him. College or not, I know I'll walk across that stage, and he’ll be somewhere smiling for me.
It's also about me being able to get the job I want for myself later in life. Finishing high school is something necessary for this job. This right here is the most important reason for me. To be able to become a Forensic Scientist and own my very own Forensic Science lab. I’ve said it before but we don't all agree on finishing school, but some do and to those who do, deserves much props.
