Learning is very important and needs to be continued through school and then beyond. You will spend your entire life learning new things that will make you happier and better at the things you like to do, and that is really important for each of us. Think about when you do assignments in class but don’t know how to do them because you haven’t learned it yet. It’s really frustrating when you don’t know the answers sometimes, right? Sometimes it can even be embarrassing to get a question wrong and not know how to do things. On the other hand, it feels really good to know the answer and get the question right and have the teacher tell you that you did a good job, doesn’t it? It does, and that’s what continued learning does. The more things you learn, the more things you know and the more questions you can answer if you have to; you don’t have to worry about feeling embarrassed that you don’t know the answer because you do know the answer. When you don’t know the answer to something though, you still shouldn’t feel embarrassed. All it means is that you haven’t learned that yet, but you will. There was a time when your teacher was in school just like you and they didn’t know the answer either, but they learned it.

Continued learning creates opportunities for you to do things that you want to be able to do or that you don’t even think are possible. It keeps your mind open too, meaning that you have a greater ability to understand how other people think about and look at things. It makes it easier for you to see things from their point of view and understand why they feel they way they do about things. When you’re upset or excited about something, you want people to listen to you and understand you, right? We all do. Continued learning helps you do that for others and helps them do it for you.

The world likes smart people and continued learning will help you be one of the smart people that everyone wants to work with. People will look to you for advice and treat you with a lot of respect. Most importantly though, continued learning helps you be good at a lot of different things and jobs, which lets you pick the one you like to do instead of just the one you can do because it’s the only one you can do. Continued learning lets you decide for yourself what career you want to have and that will make all the difference in how happy you are. Doing the things that you like and are good at makes you happy and continued learning helps you be able to do the things you like.
