The Most Helpful Study Option by Dylan - May 2016 Scholarship Essay

In our modern age, there are so many ways to study for a final exam. One could go out and study with a friend group, go to a study center, go to a library, or even go visit with their teacher or professor and see what they recommend you study. Or, you could stay in, and just write it down what you think you should know on a piece of paper, watch a video on YouTube about the subject, or even just read the textbook if one is available.

Personally, I have had a better experience with writing things down. That is how I do the best, and if I couple that with a YouTube video that goes in-depth then even better. It is not fair to tell one how they should study, as everyone learns things differently, hence the "Get To Know You" assignment that your teachers would give you, so that they could base their lessons on the best way to teach the majority of the class. However, I cannot help but to recommend that you write down what you don't know a few days before the test, or exam. Review it. Then write down everything that you learned from your review. If possible watch a credible video that can maybe clear up some of the things that you were a little foggy on. That is what I believe to be the best way to study. Make sure you understand.

I have entered countless tests without fully understanding what was going on in the unit (mostly math) and I paid for it. I wish I had studied and in the modern age, there really is no excuse not to. Listen to the video while going about your day, maybe even just hearing it can help you out. All I ask is that you find a way to study, I urge you to use my method, but any form will do, as long as it helps you, as an individual learn the material.
