Why I would like to teach math by Destiny - October 2016 Scholarship Essay

I would like to teach math because I have a deeper understanding about the inner workings of math itself. Most young children in bigger cities and even small towns completely despise math. If I can find a way to make math more enjoyable for younger generations, I could make smart individuals. Thus creating a brighter and mathematically smarter future. For small towns it is easier to have children understand the importance and the impact that math can have on them and others around them. While in bigger cities, it is harder to get children to understand the need that warrants math in the education system. (104)
I would also like to be able to teach higher education because I know how hard it is to understand some of the things being taught if there isn't a good teacher teaching it. I also know how bad it can turn out if a teacher doesn't know how to teach pre- algebra before going into regular algebra or even geometry. I also understand how hard it can be to understand Pre calculus if there isn't a teacher than can lower the vocabulary for you to understand it.
There are many reasons why I want to teach math, but the main one is because I understand how difficult it can be to understand what is being taught.
