I see myself ten years from now as an advanced practice registered nurse who is quick and efficient, responsible in her duties, caring for her patients, and capable to do the task set before her. There is a shortage of nurses and doctors and as an advanced practice registered nurse, I would have the capability of examining patients and prescribing to them the necessary treatments or medication without the supervision of a physician at times. This will also give me the opportunity to help the people of my community by going into the nursing field as it is something that I enjoy doing.
My education will allow me to attain my goal by providing the necessary knowledge and understanding of the human body, and of medications which would be administered to the patient.I want to become a nurse because the human body fascinates me and getting into a nursing program will give me a full understanding of it. This education will only be possible if I receive assistance, as I live with my retired aunt and two older siblings who are already in college. Being able to pursue my desired profession will not only be to my benefit, but also to my family’s.
