Growing up when asked what you want to do when you grow up what was your response? Firefighter? Sports athlete? Nurse? Some would say the cutest answer saying I want to be like my mommy and daddy. Some will grow up and pursue that path and never stop wanting to be that firefighter or athlete. Me on the other hand did not. I grew up saying I want to play in the NFL and make a lot of money. Only one part of the goal stuck with me to this day. “Make a lot of money”, this has always been my end goal for life. I believe that after you make X amount of money you can be free from not all but most problems in this life today.
I loved playing football when I was young. Being raised in Texas football was a religion it was almost put in me like a chip in a robot. It was my escape from the world, a place where I could go to be free. I loved bringing with my teammates and growing as a family. I loved Friday night lights with the whole school in attendance and Not only that, but I will never forget that feeling of running down the field and breaking through the brown and gold Carmel Catholic banner and seeing the student section roaring. Truly a feeling that at the time was irreplaceable. As I grew older the love for football dropped as my love for making money grew. I loved working hard and being rewarded for that. Just like in sports when you work hard it will show. But then I had another change of heart. What if I could just get the reward? Work would be required in the beginning but at the end I just want the reward. That is why being a business owner would be my dream job.
My parents when they were a young couple started a business. It was a vitamin shop that didn't last long but when I tell you they learned some big lessons they did. They partnered with someone who was not to fart on the business side of things but knew everything about vitamins and such. They believed that with my parents' business minds they could make it all work. They soon came to realize that their business partner was not on the same pages as them. They wanted to grow the business and expand when she didn't. They ran onto decisions that would be better for the business that just got turned down by the co owner. In the end it ended up not working out too well.
I will be a whole different kind of business owner than my past family. I want to own multiple businesses and companies. Mostly just being able to have time to do the things I love. I want to be able to spend time with my family if I have one by then and watch my kids grow up. That is something big that I learned from my dad. I always remember my dad being at my games and events no matter how hard it was for him to get there. I need to be able to do that for my kids. I believe that being there for you kids is a big key factor in raising kids. When owning a business you see some owners not having time for family and always caught up in the company. The difference I would have is I am ok with giving up money from my business for time with my family. This is what I want to be able to own multiple businesses so that I can have other people run them for me and I have the time for my family. My mom always believed in family first and I want to be able to carry that on and show that I believe it as well with my family in the future.
Along with being with my family I love to travel. I think traveling is one of my favorite things to do. I love those early mornings hopping on a flight and falling asleep and waking up in a whole new environment. I would like a part of my business ownership to have something to do with ralistate. I want to be able to have locations in different places in not only the USA but in the world. I love to see sights and new places and love homes. I think that different kinds of houses are also a must. I love architecture so if I was to have the option I would love to be able to design some of my houses. I also need to have a big garage. I love my cars and motorcycles so that will have to be a must.
To begin to sum it all up My dream job will have to be a business route. I love the business side of everything and would not want to give that up a bit because I do not like to take orders from people so I will need to be a CEO or an owner of a big corporation. I want to be able to have lots of time with my family and friends while making the maximum amount of money possible.
