Who I Am by Darnell - July 2016 Scholarship Essay

I am result driven and very motivated. I am a fast learner and enjoy varying levels of complexity in any responsibility I undertake. I enjoy am an efficient worker independently and in a team. I am capable of executing instructions given and taking initiative. Yet, I have no idea who to thank for who I have become; My parents who have raised me and taught me morals, my friends who taught me how to love and enjoy life, or my teachers who taught me how to learn. I am committed to excellence in everything I do. This can be seen through by baseball career, where I managed to make the all-star team, representing the best athletes in the nation. Furthermore, I strive for success and am dedicated to helping the people around me, anyway I can. I have accumulated over 200 volunteering hours, receiving a Presidential Volunteer Service Award. I enjoy learning various topics, and like applying what I learn to the real world. I am a dedicated worker, producing exceptional results in everything I do, whether volunteering or at work. I have achieved so much in my life due to those around me and plan to achieve so much more.
