What advice would you give to a teacher to help you learn?

Personally, I have always had great relationships with my teachers. Each and every one of them has taken the time to get to know me and what I need to be successful with my schoolwork. That is something I will always cherish and appreciate as a student. From people I have talked to or witnessed, not many teachers would put in the effort to help their students.

If I had to give advice to a new teacher to help me be successful in learning, I would have to say to get to know me. In most cases in which I learn, I don’t understand the information the first time around. Sometimes it takes me more than one lesson to fully be informed of the information. I would ask them to be patient with me, because I would never be able to work under stress. I work best one on one if I don’t understand something. So I would always consider going to the teachers during office hours or whenever they are free. I know if I were a teacher I would dedicate my time to the student because it would fall back on me if the student were to fail. It is always possible to get the student to be successful.
