A Thankful College Experience by Daniel - November 2016 Scholarship Essay
College seems scary it really does, from the advanced classes to the amount of studding for a simple test. As a senior in high school these things truly scare me. One of the things that I would be truly thankful for are friendly professors and/or the classmates that I will have. For me I like to be extremely active when it comes to working with people or in a group. I want to help out my group as much as I can because that’s just who I am. I like to be friendly and someone that others can talk to, I like to brighten other people’s days. Not only would I be thankful for the kind/friendly professors and the students that would be willing to help me at any time I was stuck on a problem. I like to help others so it would be no problem for me to teach/help others with information that I know or share the knowledge on how I solved a certain problem. I often have plenty of free time on my hands and I always find a way to use that time up whether it’s working more hours at work or hanging out with friends. For the past three years I have been thinking of all the things that I could be or do after high school. I’ve almost joined the Marine Corps or the Air Force, recently I’ve decided to go into the major of business. Since my grandfather is in charge of a company that could be passed down to me if I know what I’m doing. That’s why I would like to be close to my peers and professors, I know it won’t be easy to do. One of the class’s I’m taking in school my senior year is Aerospace Tech and the class is taught by a business teacher. Within a few weeks I was able to gain my teachers trust with many papers and well done notes. Now with the help of my teacher I am now looking at teaching other students how to fly UAV’s and potentially looking at doing business with my teacher.
To answer the question, what college experience I would be thankful for. I can say that it would have to be the friendly professors and/or the students that I hopefully acquire once I get into college. For me I graduate in May and at that time I could be working in business with my fellow teacher and friends. I would already have some experience at working in the business field. This is something I would love to work in.
