Education Purpose by Cynthia - April 2015 Scholarship Essay

My name is Cynthia Williams, and I am a senior. I plan on going to college to further my education. I believe furthering your education is vital to be successful in life.

Knowledge is very important; no matter what career you choose it is important to be knowledgeable about different things. The economy is worsening, and it is very hard to get a job with an education, so not having an education only makes it worse. If you are applying for a job and their choice is a high school graduate or a college graduate who would be the most likely choice?

Most jobs that do not require a college education do not pay very well, and if you are only making minimum wage, then it will make it very difficult to support yourself or your family. The higher the education you the more more money will probably make. You do not necessarily have to attend a university to further your education and get a good job; not everyone necessarily wants to go to college and you may not need to go for your career choice, but you should attend some kind of technical or trade school.

Furthering your education is very important. It cannot hurt you; it will only help you.
