Have I developed my math and other skills in 2021? by Cristian - January 2022 Scholarship Essay

There are many reasons why people specially me improve or strengthen on our academic skills. Most people want to improve them for them to not stress or worry about it in the near future because is a skill they might need for a job, etc. Some people don’t just do it because they like it as well, but because they want to improve to get better at it
First, I have strengthened my math academic skill because I want to be an engineer. I don’t know what type yet, but I know for sure I want to be one. This was my most important academic success because I took so much time on this last year. I stayed after school, but of course not every day because of covid but when we went back to regular days. I stayed after school all the time for me learn and understand the math I was learning.
Second, by strengthening my Math it was not something I like very much. I always knew though it was something I will for sure use. So, just developing this skill last year has helped my math this year a lot. By me learning math faster getting better grades on my test and finding ways to learn that math better than before. I wouldn’t say I have perfected my math. No, I still have lots to learn.
Finally, Math was great to learn, but it also wasn’t the only thing I have succeed to learn last year. I also stayed a lot for me to learn my grammar because English is my second language and I mostly speak Spanish. So, just strengthening that as well was good experience and also to get to know my teacher better while they teach me and have a good relationship with them.
Inconclusion, me and many people have many reasons to improve our academic skills for the better of ourselves. Not all of us do this but is something for sure your might need to do if you want to get better at it.
