My Ideal form of Assessment by Cris - June 2015 Scholarship Essay
My ideal from of Assessment is a multiple choice test. Those types of tests are ideal for me because you then get a one out four chance of getting the answer right by just simply guessing. I think multiple choice test are very good ways to seeing what a student knows because they either know the subject or the don't.
I prefer taking multiple choice test over taking essays as with multiple choice test you can answer a question by simply guessing and you can either get it right or wrong but you still have a chance of getting it right. But with essays you need to know the subject or topic pretty well to get a good grade on it and you need to be familiar with it if not you basically get the essay wrong. I personally am not a big fan of writing essays as sometimes I feel like I haven't fully answered it. I feel like sometimes I'm going on a big rant and I feel like I'm getting off topic and then I just simply start to question myself. But with multiple choice tests all I need to do is pick the answer I feel most confident on and go with it and move on. But still with essays I get stuck and I don't know what to write about and I just don't like them.
Multiple choice tests make me feel better about myself and leave me feeling more confident than doing essays or other types of tests. An ideal form of assessment is a multiple choice test because you have a chance of getting the right answer by just guessing, you can do the work to get the right answer so it still helps you know what the answer should be, and multiple choice test also simply leave you feeling good about yourself which is why multiple choice tests are my ideal from of assessment.
