I have always been interested in the world of business and had a strong love for analyzing data since I was a child. My mom works in the field of finance and has taught me that integrity, accountability, and hard work will get you far in your career. My passion for analyzing stats and interpreting data, especially in sports, made my internship at the data-driven company of Telemetry Sports this year a perfect match. Telemetry Sports began as a small company and has been gradually built into a successful business today. The perseverance this company has endured by growing, adapting, and finding success is exactly what I hope to achieve in my future career in finance. I am constantly challenged by the company to find alternate ways to interpret and analyze data in the field of sports. This Internship has given me newfound insight into exactly what a career in finance or business analysis would look like. Creating spreadsheets of player stats and compiling the data to evaluate how successful each player will be in the future is one of my responsibilities. This type of evaluation correlates and prepares me for a career in finance where the collection and analysis of data can lead the direction of a business. The internship with Telemetry Sports has and continues to give me experience, firsthand insight, and an appreciation of creating a successful company.
