Always out there by Cooper - September 2024 Scholarship Essay
I am always fundamentally learning through what life has put me through as I have had the special opportunity over the last few years to be a part of an incredible baseball program, an excellent job at Kona Ice, and an incredible team at the White River Food Pantry. These organizations have given me so many opportunities to show my appreciation for my community. The Noblesville baseball program has shown me that the game of baseball isn’t just simply a game to be played, it is an opportunity for both the community and the team to show appreciation for one another. Our baseball team has helped so many citizens of the community by participating in the Hamilton County Good Samaritan Giveaway and hosting baseball camps for youth to mention just a few. These events are special every year because they allow me to interact individually with our community in various types of situations. Kona Ice has not only taught me workforce skills but has also allowed me to impact people with the joy of a sweet treat, and the happiness that spreads across their faces when they see the truck at their neighborhood park or event. The White River Food Pantry has been my most eye-opening experience as I have been challenged and have been able to build relationships with so many people. The sole mission of the pantry is to help people in need, and this mission filters through my everyday life.
