Many soft skills can help you through your education journey, but while many other soft skills like problem-solving or organization can certainly help you with the education process, I believe there is one soft skill that is important in education and in life in general. That one skill is adaptability.
Now you may ask why adaptability is the most important soft skill and it's because throughout your school career how many teachers have you had? If you grew up in a decent sized school district you may get at least a couple new teachers every year and each of these teachers have their own teaching style, which means you must adapt to that teacher’s style of teaching to retain information for said teacher’s class in order to get decent grades. If you aren’t the best at adaptability, you are going to have a much harder time at the start of each year until you get accustomed to the class. This isn't the only reason though as homework and assignments can vary wildly too.
From a math worksheet to essays on your interpretation of Shakespeare’s plays, assignments can come in all shapes and sizes making your ability to switch between assignments and in turn changing your process of finishing them paramount to success. This is in line with the need for adaptability in your school life.
In short, while all soft skills are indeed important for school, one of the most if not the most important soft skill is the ability to adapt to the changes in the world around you. This goes for your future career too as life can be very unpredictable and as the old saying goes when life gives you lemons make lemonade.
