Becoming the Achiever by Colbie - June 2016 Scholarship Essay
When I was younger, I didn’t realize that I had a learning disability. I overcame that obstacle with academics, because I don’t let anything get the best of me, I kept on study and study without anyone’s help. I had some emotional support from teachers and friends. I always stay motivated no matter what the circumstances it maybe for me. I know that within my heart that will I do anything good with my life.
When I graduated from high school as student with a GPA of 3.54, I became unstoppable. My own family didn’t believe that I could make it to the top with my academic background. I stay motivated and becoming the achiever that I am today, and I had my own motto on “never give up.” I am aspired even more from obstacles that I faced. It was my grandmother. I never met her before in the flesh, but I heard so much about her, especially with her accomplishments as a nurse and an entrepreneur. I am so proud that I am part of this woman, it motivates me to do more for myself, and I believe that I could face any academic obstacles that are out there. If my grandmother could do it, then I could do it even more.
