Early Bird by Christopher - January 2019 Scholarship Essay

As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm. I feel this saying rings very true for a lot of people, including me.
There are numerous benefits that waking up early has brought me. I made the conversion from a night owl to a morning person around two years ago, and since then I have seen improvements in all areas of my life. Waking up early allows me to eat the breakfast I need to have a productive day, so I can focus and learn as much as possible while I am at school. This change has improved my grades providing tremendous growth, and my GPA has vastly increased over the past 2 years since I’ve began to wake up early.
Another great benefit that waking up early has brought me is that I feel less stressed out about school. Waking up just a few hours earlier provides a great head start for the day. This extra time in the morning allows you to get so much more done. I even like to wake up early on the weekends or during school breaks, and this extra time provides even more time for me to complete any work that I need to do for school or at home without any distractions or interruptions. Waking up early has benefited all aspects of my life, and if you do not wake up early right now, I highly recommend that you start.
