My Passion for Higher-Education by Christine - February 2025 Scholarship Essay

Throughout my life, I have always viewed education as more than just a path to success and abundance; in my eyes, I believe education is a privilege—a privilege that I hold dearly. The ability to succeed and pursue a higher education at a university has been the reason for my passion in learning. My desire to pursue a higher education derives from my early commitment and passion for learning. From an early age, I was able to grasp the idea that access to education and learning was not universal. This idea has heavily guided me throughout my high school years. Despite failing many exams and spending countless nights studying, I have found gratitude in the fact that I am blessed with the opportunity to stress about my education. This realization from an early age has motivated me to make the most of any academic opportunities that I am provided with. My devotion and passion for education has been continuous throughout my life, whether that was eight-year-old me learning the multiples of 7 or seventeen-year-old me learning how to find the derivative of a function, I have always found myself embracing my passion for knowledge. The topic of pursuing a higher education has always been a controversial topic for many, however, for me, it has been the driving factor of my success throughout my high school career.
