My favorite non-traditional way of learning is the use of YouTube. YouTube is not only accessible to many people you can also learn new things in both audible and visual forms. In the past, I have used YouTube to learn how to crochet, first as a beginner but now to learn more difficult patterns. Additionally, I am currently using YouTube tutorials to learn how to knit a scarf. YouTube is also a cost-effective way of learning compared to purchasing 'How to' books or online programs that take you step by step through the process. Another reason YouTube is an effective learning tool is you can watch many different videos that all teach you the same thing but can be selected for your best learning style. While YouTube is often seen as a form of entertainment, it's important to utilize YouTube for more than just watching vlogs or shopping hauls. YouTube is a tool that people of any age can use to learn new things. The videos not only consist of how-to videos but also educational and informative videos. Because there are so many different types of videos on YouTube, they can not only be used to learn sports or crafts but also in conjunction with traditional learning techniques like lectures.
