Study Method
Throughout all my years of school, I have found out that tests can be very difficult when you do not prepare. In order for me to feel fully capable of acing a test I do a few things to get ready. My favorite and most beneficial study method is to start early and quiz myself on flashcards, or to work on homework without help at first, then go over it a second time using my notes. My other study method is to sleep on the new information each night by repeating topics of a test in my head before I go to bed.
Both of these study methods have been effective for me. I feel that they will be effective for others as well because they do not involve procrastination before hand then irrational “cramming” the night before the test. Since procrastination is eliminated there is nothing that will be too difficult to remember over a series of study times. An additional thing that I have done, if I have a night where I don’t feel quite like actively quizzing myself, I go online and watch YouTube videos related to the topic. Watching these YouTube videos have helped me stay on task, but take a more relaxing night so that I do not get over whelmed by too much studying. These videos have also kept me actively engaged on the subject I am studying so that I am fully prepared for everything presented in the class and even then some that was not directly covered in the class materials.
In turn my study methods eliminate stress, procrastination, and the feeling of being ill prepared on a test. All in all if a student of any kind decides to employ my study method of working ahead and studying every night, even just a little, they will be prepared for any possible test questions. After all grades are determined by how much you want to succeed, so put the work in because no one has ever succeeded without putting in the work.
