Communication is the main soft skill that has the biggest impact on a successful education.The entire education process relies on written and verbal communication that starts in elementary school and continues all the way through college and beyond. In elementary school students are developing communication skills whether it's learning to communicate with teachers or with classmates and without excellent communication skills, teachers can't do their jobs effectively.

Communication has the biggest impact on a successful education because we rely on it for just about everything. Whether it's something as simple as asking a question in class for clarification, participating in a class discussion, or collaborating on a group project, communication is key for success. Communication works both ways because professors also need to be able to communicate effectively for their students to learn. If you can't communicate with your professors or classmates, you're not going to be successful in class because every class and assignment requires some form of communication. And when you're not successful in your classes, you're clearly not going to have a successful education overall.

When there is a breakdown in communication, it doesn't really matter how great one's other soft skills are because the communication component affects everything else.For example, without solid communication skills it becomes difficult to solve problems, meet deadlines, work together and often leads to great misunderstandings.

Being an effective communicator gives all parties a clear direction and sense of accomplishment and leaves less room for error. Communication is a main component for a successful education and in life in general.
