As I prepare to attend Tarleton State University this fall, I intend to major in Agricultural Communications. This decision has been shaped by my deep connection and passion for the agriculture industry, which has been a significant part of my life since joining FFA in the 8th grade. Through my involvement in this organization, I have learned the vital role agriculture plays in our daily lives, providing food, fiber, and fuel to the world. This knowledge has fueled my desire to become an advocate for the industry, especially for the hardworking 3% of Americans who feed the 100%.

One of the reasons I chose Agricultural Communications as my major is that it combines my passion for agriculture with my love for creative communication. I want to specialize in marketing, where I can utilize my creativity and enthusiasm for social media, design, and sales. The ability to create impactful messages, whether through digital campaigns or visual design, is a powerful tool in shaping public perception. I am excited to use these skills to make a meaningful impact on the agriculture industry, reaching new audiences and telling the stories that matter most.

I feel a strong responsibility to help bridge the gap between producers and consumers, ensuring that the voices of farmers and ranchers are heard and appreciated. I am passionate about advocating for agriculture and raising awareness about the challenges that those who work in the industry face. My goal is to help educate others and build a positive image for agriculture, inspiring others to value the work that goes into feeding the world. In the future, I hope to work with large agricultural organizations or companies, developing marketing strategies that promote sustainability, innovation, and the importance of the agricultural sector. My education at Tarleton State University will equip me with the tools and knowledge necessary to make a difference, advocating for the agriculture industry and ensuring that its voice is heard far and wide.
