What is education? Education is the knowledge you retain throughout your life. Education is something you can never forget, no matter how little the material you retain. You use it in everyday life even if it’s something small, it may even seem like common sense but it’s something that you learned and that’s what education is all about. Education is both a commodity and general knowledge given to you at birth.

You use education to further said education, learn more and keep growing. Whether it be in University or a general job or even as you continue through school. It can make or break your career, it can even define you based on your success. It’s a gateway, you need education to be successful, to develop skills or obtain knowledge. Education doesn’t always mean school either, education can be information given to you by peers or parents; general knowledge obtained by the process of learning.

Education is the foundation we base our lives on. We use it to broaden our horizons, widen our scopes, to make us who we are. I would be nothing without my education. Society bases people's worth and value on their education, what they learned or how long they’ve been in school. The less you have, the less you are worth. Without education I wouldn’t know to help others, help myself, use critical thinking skills, or make decisions that shape my life. Education is common sense, something you learned; whether it be via trial and error, it was taught to you. It educated you and you use it, even in situations both big and small. You’re always learning and making use of the knowledge you already have and that within itself is the beauty of education.

Education is the fundamentals of life. The building blocks. It’s education.
