My Best Inspirational Source of my Senior Year by Bryton - November 2022 Scholarship Essay

As a high school student, life can become very stressful depending on the situation you may have to fight through. However, the best source is the people surrounding you, the ones who can push you to be the best version of yourself. Although sometimes it may not always be the person you expect, mine is my school counselor.
My counselor has pushed me to fill out as many scholarships as possible and has taught me that life may not always be perfect, but to keep going. She's the most inspirational person in my high school because she tells her students many stories about how her family was poor. My counselor tends to mention quite often how her family faced many situations where they did not have near as much money as other students in her high school or how college was a whirlwind. She spent many hours working while still wanting to be a college student. Still, my school counselor was strong and made it to where she is today. A favorite story of mine that she tells is when she was in college, not in a good position, hated her major, and how dropped out of many college-level classes, only had a total of nine credit hours one semester, and lost all of her FASFA money. Although, the next semester, she changed her major to the one that she had always wanted to be. My counselor ended up taking twenty-three credit hours, earning her FASFA back and managed only to need one more class to get her education degree in physics and chemistry.
From this story, my school counselor has managed to influence all of her students that no matter what happens, there will always be a block in the road, and we must find a way around it. She has been the most inspirational leader to other students and me. Although, your most inspirational leader may come into your life out of nowhere, at the least expected times.
