What is your ultimate strategy for success on a school project? by Bryceten - December 2017 Scholarship Essay

School learning is full of challenges from the lab test to English exams. As such, many students never complete college often dropping out for lack of money, lack of motivation and lack of a academic strategy. All students can enhance their chances at success by employing one simple strategy for success. Collaboration.

It has oft been said that no man is an island and likewise no student can succeed alone. Students need each other to succeed in college. Every college student brings distinct knowledge, skills and backgrounds that when shared can help others. From the emotional needs that we all have to the academic chasms that college students must jump collaboration makes us stronger and provides group solutions. Indeed, collaboration helps us draw upon the strength of others to fill our voids.

The US Marine Corp has a motto that no man shall be left behind. The Army works in groups of men called squads, platoons and companies for the purpose of allowing group solutions to life and death challenges. These groups of men are organized to help one another in times of war. In so doing soldiers develop lasting friendship bonds. Modernly Corporate America has embraced collaboration and has employees work in teams, open spaces and cubicles rather than the isolation of glassed off offices. Corporate America understands that employees working together get more done at a faster pace and with better quality.

Likewise I reach out to my fellow classmates to collaborate and work together so we can help one another. Strong in math I offer to help other students knowing they will be inclined to help me with my science project, geology exam or English test.

Finally, it isn't just that no man is an island but rather no person has all the answers. No person can survive alone and each of us are stronger by the relationships we build in college. That is why my ultimate strategy for success, on a school project, is collaboration.
