While playing volleyball in high school, I was hit in the face with a volleyball. As I stood there with a stinging cheek and my teammates laughing around me, I found myself laughing too. This moment, though unexpected, was a small but significant part of my journey. It taught me resilience and humor, traits I later realized were crucial in working with children. My experiences on and off the volleyball court helped solidify my passion for teaching and working with kids.
From a young age, I knew that my future would involve helping children learn and grow. This passion was solidified by the profound impact my second-grade teacher had on me. Her kindness, patience, and ability to make learning enjoyable inspired me to follow in her footsteps and become a teacher who could make a difference in young lives.
