Dinner with JFK by Brianna - October 2017 Scholarship Essay
If I could dinner with a president it would be John F. Kennedy. I know John F. Kennedy had so many things planned, unfortunately he was assassinated so he didn't get to do everything he wanted to do. If I could have dinner with him I wouldn't tell anyone except my parents, and then I would fly to D.C. and make my way to the White House. I would arrive and be amazed at how beautiful the White House is. Someone would escort me to where I would be having dinner with the President and in that moment I would become nervous and my hands would start to sweat but I would be full of excitement. I would see him and shake his hand and we would sit down and begin to talk. I would first ask him how was it serving in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate before becoming President. After we talked about that I would as him about the huge number of foreign conflicts he faced and how he felt during that time and how he tried to fix the problems. Then I would ask him about his family and how they were and to tell him to take care of them and himself. I would ask the last thing: how it felt to marry Jackie Kennedy and for him to take care of her and continue the wonderful work he is doing for the country. I would also thank him for having me over for dinner, then I would travel back home and realized that I just had dinner with the President, and I would relive the memory over and over in my head.
