Knowing what you know now, what is one piece of advice you'd share with younger students? by Brianna - April 2016 Scholarship Essay

As you begin to grow and find yourself in life, people will tell you that enjoy life while you're young, when you hear that listen carefully because they are not joking. Knowing what I know now, a piece of advice i'd share with younger students is, don't stress about the future but focus more on the moment. Many times while you are young you strive for the perfect body, car, job, friends, relationship and the that college acceptance. Those are all great and all but one day all that stuff will not matter; what will matter the most is how you lived your life. All those things will eventually go away but, your happiness won't. I realize when I concentrated more on myself and my happiness I was more content with life. Remember this, your only goal is you!

Taking adventures and meet new people, was a vital thing that helped me through my growing up process. I realized that their was more to life than my small circle. There was more to my life than my basic routine everyday. So remember don't get stuck in one things always try something new because you never know how things are going to turn out.

Find your PASSION and give it all you've got, Life is very short. You don’t have much time, so make the most of it by doing what you love and giving your all. It’s not easy to find your passion. Trust me the search will be painful and long, but you will find it at some point. And the feeling of accomplishment knowing you have given given your all brings tremendous contentment. So remember find what you love and hold on to it and never let it go.

Most importantly Look at the bigger picture. You have to embrace difficulties and hardship, your hard times are a major part of your growth. During your obstacles I believe that you find yourself and you find your truth within. Many times I was unhappy with my situation and gave up or never started because I failed to see the bigger picture. Finally it hit me and all I could do was smile because I soon realized that, that was life.
