Nobel Prizes are not given out on a day-to-day basis to everyone, that would ruin the value of such a significant award. While the award is yearly, it is given to the elites who walk this Earth. If someone were to ask me what qualifies a person to win the Nobel Prize, I would respond with a straightforward “self worth and hard work”. The universal definition of self worth is simply self respect. In my opinion, that means believing in all of your ideas, even if they do seem far fetched. If you wish to make an musical album filled with experimental sounds that only you like and believe in, then do that. Realizing how much someone believes in themselves unlocks the doors for many possibilities, in all fields of life. When Barack Obama said he believes America would have people on Mars by 2030, people called him crazy and science began to prove otherwise. While Mr. Obama is a politician and not an astronomer, he envisioned and truly believes it is very much possible. Onto the next required quality which is talent. We all know the saying “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”; I agree with this statement due to the fact that there are so few people who can work hard for so long. For example, Tyler Okonma, better known as Tyler, the Creator, creates music,developed his own clothing brand, began his own music festival, scored music for “The Grinch”, and will soon have his own home brand. He creates clothes all year round while going on tours while working on his next album. We have all heard of musicians and clothing designers but its almost rare to have see people work so hard in so many different industries. These people deserve the recognition. In conclusion, if a person knows their value and holds themselves to nothing less and works hard, they should receive the recognition that comes along with the Nobel Prize. These are all of my opinions, there are truly more qualifications to becoming an elite in society but with these two qualities, it would be tough to turn anyone down.
