Looking at College by Brayden - November 2016 Scholarship Essay

There are many things that I'm looking forward to about college. Some of which are; I want to see how capable I am at living on my own, to be able to test my abilities, to expand my horizons and get away from home, and certainly to find my inner self so to speak. I am looking forward to making new friends and exploring my limits. Also, one of the things that I am especially looking forward to is an athletic career. To make additional advancements to my skills in soccer, pole vault, and hopefully many more.
I would also like to be able to experience the dorm life and the experience of living on campus and get away from my roots; explore my inner values and maybe follow Dave Ramsey on how to become a millionaire. To stay out of student debt, have a car that does not need any payments made on it. And the same with a House. The true purpose of me actually applying for this scholarship, is that I'm faithful on the fact that I could win this. Or that I just know subconsciously that I really do need this to help me.
Now I have thankfully been accepted to six colleges in my state: Michigan Technological University, Central Michigan University, Ferris State University, Mid Michigan Communitty College, Lansing Community College, and Mott Community College. My number one college is Michigan Technological University, and for me that is an eight hour drive away, and I am really looking forward to be able to attend this college.
