Teacher inspire by Benjamin - October 2019 Scholarship Essay

Math is not my thing! I am more of a science and history guy. During my high school junior year doing online schooling, I got seriously behind in Algebra 2. The reason I got behind is because I chose to block my History course instead of keeping up with all courses at once. Also, I came to a Math lesson with a portfolio that I was having difficulty grasping.
My Math teacher, Mrs. Scott, phoned to talk about my falling behind in the Math course. We set up a time to go over the lesson together in an attempt to help me understand the portfolio and to get me somewhat caught up. We met in her Live Lesson room and she explained the lesson that I was having trouble with. Mrs. Scott was so helpful and explained it so well that she inspired me to do my best, ask for help when I need it, and most of all to catch up on lessons I was behind on! Mrs. Scott believed in me and wanted me to succeed. She even inspired me to become more confident in math in general.
