One person who has positively impacted my life as well as my goal to become educated was my mother. My whole life I have experienced friends talking about college as a trade school concept, I go to school and get my degree and then I can work and make a living. This is the idea of trade school not of true education. My mother has always stressed the importance that education is something different it is meant for educating for the betterment of ourselves. A true education enlights us to cultures, philosophies, histories, languages, sciences, etc.

The impact this ideology has had on me is profound I don't look at college as a stepping stone to getting a job but rather as a tool so I can become a better person so can impact the world for the better. As well as better understand the world with all its mysteries and be able problem solve for my own life. I hope to share the same ideologies with those around me as well as my possible prosperity with the same hope that they can see the value and amazing tool that education is and can bring and hopefully I can impact others the same way my mother did for me growing up!
