Florida by Ben - April 2016 Scholarship Essay
Students of America, do you want the easy way out? Just follow these two steps and watch the money come to you...
Step #1 - Housing
Pick a house, any house! Millions of homes go vacant in America, sometimes for months or years on end, waiting to be bought, or rented, so why waste the house? When initiating step one you simply watch a house for about three days to make sure no one is living there. When you are certain no one is living there, write up your own lease (it can be as short as one page) and move on in! The owner will be thrilled their house is being put to good use and you get to live rent free, everyone is happy. You will be idolized within your group of friends while they pay 1500 or more for monthly rent, throwing their money away, always working and never allowed any time to appreciate what they pay for. Some of these freebie homes come furnished, however in the case that they are not, you may want to move in some furniture pieces to give the house a more home like feel. After you are moved in, make sure to put up a fence or something substantial in the yard to show your new presence in the neighborhood. You should become very involved and present in your community, this will be your new home of course. Should the owner of the property come to the house, simply show them your lease and explain you are now living there rent free, in most cases they will be overcome with joy. However, in the case they are mildly upset and ask you to leave, you don’t have to! The term “squatting” may be thrown around and police officers may be called but stay strong and don’t leave the house. You are now the new resident thanks to the adverse possession statute, congratulations and welcome to the neighborhood! Not satisfied with your new home? Should you decide you want a change in scenery it is no big deal, in fact you’ll have an opportunity to make some money. Depending on what state you’re residing in the name of this program may differ, however in Florida it is called cash for keys. The government knows moving can be somewhat difficult so let them know you have decided to end your rent free residence in the house and they will pay you for the house keys. You can use this newfound money to travel to your next destination and find a new vacant home.
Step #2 - Starting a family.
Once you have you living arrangements under control, you may want to think about starting a family with your significant other. You may see some of your friends or family trying to “financially stabilize” themselves before starting their family, well not you my friend. After step one you are already a homeowner with no debt, and now step two will show you how to earn a monthly income without wasting your time at a dead end job. Depending on which state you reside in these programs may differ, nonetheless each state has their own version of them. In Florida you’ll want to sign up for the “Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program” (SNAP). This will provide money for food depending on how many people you have residing with you, the more people the more money allotted. With a large enough family you could be earning up to one thousand dollars a month! Now that your food situation is taken care of, you’ll need some living money of course. It is ideal to have about three to four kids for step number two to work efficiently. The next program you’ll need to sign up for is “Temporary Cash Assistance” (TCA) , don’t worry, it is anything but temporary. The idea behind this program is to give money to those temporarily in need of financial assistance and eventually they will be able to support themselves, but the government soon realized no one wants to give up free money. Without fail this program has become a handicapper for thousands, so why not add one more person to that list. This will give you money per child and it will increase as they get older. With two to four kids you could be making another grand every month! Your income is now more than that of a minimum wage employee. While they work forty hours a week and earn around 17000 dollars a year, you have relaxed in your rent free home for the year and collected around 25000 dollars. Not enough free money? Have some more! If this income doesn’t suit your lavish lifestyle and you don’t feel like popping out anymore kids, sign up for “ Social Security Disability” (SSD). This program was originally established for those who are unable to work due to injuries, but in recent years, it seems that anyone can sign up. All you’ll need to do is file to the government saying you have a physical injury and it is preventing you from working. You will soon be collecting up to seventeen hundred dollars a month, raising your annual wage from twenty five thousand a year to forty five thousand and four hundred dollars a year! You are now making more than an average teacher without lifting a finger.
