There are many great books out there, but one of my all time favorites is A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks. It is not just a book about unrealistic events; it has a meaning that is able to touch many readers. It is about love and companionship. It shows the truth about love; the pain, the suffering, and the happiness that comes along with it. Love today is not always shown how it is; it is often made out to be “perfect”. The love shown in this book is true, pure, unexpected, and unconditional.

A Walk to Remember is not only about love, but also dedication and staying strong when it seems to be impossible. Many people today tend to be less affectionate towards the people they love. This book shows how affectionate one can truly be towards another even when all odds are against them. Love today is not looked at as how precious it truly is; it is taken for granted in many cases.

I chose this book because anyone can really connect with it. It is incredibly easy to get caught up in this love story and not be able to put the book down. It contains real life situations and hardships that people actually have to deal with in everyday life. Love is beautiful and being able to hear about two young people so crazy in love is awesome. They love each other for who they are and for all the right reasons. It is about two people with completely different morals and backgrounds coming together and falling in love when it is completely unexpected. It is not the fairytale happy ending that people want and that is what I love about it. It is almost impossible to tell what is coming next. A lot of authors like to give the readers what they want to hear and show a happy ending, but that is not what this is like at all. It will keep you engaged throughout the whole story.

I would encourage anyone to read A Walk to Remember. Even if one is not a big fan of reading, this book is easy to get drawn into. It is an amazing love story that shows all the sides of love, not just the good. This book encourages people to do everything whole heartedly and to live as if there is no tomorrow. Life is too short to be anything but happy.
