Leadership, Influencing, and Respect by Bailey - November 2019 Scholarship Essay
My name is Bailey O. Grooms. I attended Bullock County High School in Union Springs, Al. I am a senior. I plan on attending Troy University, majoring in sports management. I love taking leadership in my class. Showing my peers, I am a leader. Throughout my highschool years, I’ve stood up for teachers that I noticed students took advantage of. I motivated my class throughout the school. I was my class Vice President. By being the Vice President I had to show respect not only to my peers, but also self-respect. I was known for always having a smile on my face, and putting a smile on others.
At my school I’m apart of 4-H, former beta club, former student committee, former elitemen 101, gear-up, and upward bound. I have lots of school spirit. My class depends on me to get the class hype for pep rallies, parties and more. I helped/influence my classmates to get jobs, to help their parents pay for senior things. I try to bring peace within my class. Fix friendships. Seeing my class grow together and making sure no one feels left out makes me feel good as a classmate/friend. I love being outspoken for my class. Knowing I’m the one they depend on to make them smile, tell them everything good, and letting them know I care if anybody else don’t. Shows I have a great influence on my class. Knowing I made great grades and I’m leaving great accomplishments behind my name makes me glad. Showing you don’t have to be a class clown, gangbang, fight and etc. just to be cool and respected.
Therefore, this being our senior year. I’ve seen my positive influence on my class fix friendships, help others be outspoken, motivated others be outspoken, show more school spirit throughout my class, show respect, and being seniors, we now set examples for the lower classes.
