Social media has impacted the world in a variety of ways. Social media has had beneficial influences and degrading influences. Social media in today's society controls more than what we think and influences our everyday actions.Trying to learn in a world full of social media is difficult, but it can push us to become stronger. Social media can teach us life lessons and is full of advantages and disadvantages.
Social media influences me in many ways and has shifted my perspective on life. It has altered the way I learn and live. I say that because if we are able to learn while social media is being shoved in our faces, then we are able to ignore distractions. Social media is a large distraction and can make it difficult to learn. Growing up with social media has made me realize that I am capable of learning with distractions. However, social media has helped me learn in unimaginable ways. I learn something new everyday on social media and learn material that I may not learn in school. It has changed my perspective on life and has taught me valuable life lessons. I learn alternative ways to accomplish something. I learn ways to improve my lifestyle. I learn how to help others. I learn what is wrong with my body. I learned I am not skinny enough. I learned that I am not pretty enough.
Social media has advantages and disadvantages in education and learning. Social media distracts students in class, employees at work, etc. Social media can ruin our brains and destroy our way of thinking. In today’s world, social media has destroyed life skills such as communication, work ethic, hard work, etc. With social media, people often constrict themselves to just using what they are able to find on the internet, instead of looking in books, newspaper articles, encyclopedias, dictionaries, etc.
Advantages of social media are controversial. For example, social media allows for easy access to just about any website and article. Social media is also convenient for students, employees, etc. Social media is fast and easy for quick research.
Social media has its advantages and disadvantages, but can be dangerous to society.
