The Man, THe Myth, THe LEGEND by August - December 2019 Scholarship Essay
For everyone becoming an adult is difficult, listening to parents in non-existent, unfamiliar places hurt, attention spans soar out of sight. Its a wild experience for me the one thing that kept me sane, and focused was learning of the man that sacrificed it all, the man that gave his one forgotten son for all, God and his son Jesus Christ. I'm proudly a member of my church, River of life in the small town of Crawfordville, I first came to know Jesus Christ has my lord and savior the summer coming into my junior year. July 11, I wake up and head straight for the Emergency room where I'm told by doctors I have cancer and I'm getting life flighted to Shands children hospital, and in those short moment for my to catch my breath I asked Jesus to save me, and I prayed for my forgiveness. And ever since then it has kept me moving right along, being apart of this is so much bigger than I am, he's so much bigger than I am. Through being with the church, it has completely changed me, I used to do a lot of horrendous things, I've stolen, cheated, even done drugs, Christianity has totally changed me into a blossoming flower. I didn't have much of a future but now with the help of my church, and God I'm going to college trying to get a degree in Criminology and become a Florida Game warden. I couldn't have done life without the help of my church, my family, God.
