If I had the opportunity to create my own extracurricular activity, what would it be? I would make an extracurricular activity that involves helping others, and the earth. This activity would be called Making A Change. We would give out all the earnings we make to charities with the different activities we decide to do. For example, fundraisers that we can put on for different charities would be a car wash which then we can donate it to people in need, It would also include clean ups around our town which would help the environment, as well as a lemonade stand, and a talent show to earn some money to donate, or including concession stands for school sports to raise money.
If there were many people willing to help in the many problems we have today it would make a huge difference not only in your community but it would be helping the world. There are issues in this world that must be resolved, such as, the 14,476 homeless people on a given night just in Oregon, according to the National Alliance To End Homelessness, which is a growing problem all around the world still today. We also have other huge problems like waste production, deforestation, and climate change. Which can give a lot of ideas for fundraisers and events we can put on to help raise money for those topics and way more problems that we have today.
That is why I would choose to make this extracurricular activity, to make a change for the better, but not only for myself, also others in need, and others who would like to make this change as well.
