Oklahoma by Ashley - December 2015 Scholarship Essay

Ten years seems like a long time, but honestly the past eighteen years of my life have flown past me. It is hard to think about where I will be in ten years. Will I be a mother? Will I be poor? It all worries me, but I get adrenaline from thinking about it.
In ten years I hope to have obtained my bachelor’s degree and attended medical school for four year. I will be spending my days as an oncologist helping others battle cancer. I will be working a St. Jude from 6am to 5pm. I will go on a journey every day to find multiple solutions for my patients. I will then go home to a husband and my two children. We will then have a nice dinner that I slaved over. I will then watch my husband goof around with the children while I clean up dinner. Then I will read my children a bed time story as they drift to sleep. On Sundays I will wake up early and plan my lessons because I will be a Sunday school teacher at my local church.
My education will help me strive to be an oncologist. I will achieve personal success when helping my patients. I hope to get the best out of my education. I will make sure my children follow in my footsteps and graduate college.
