If you had unlimited time and money, how would you use what you've learned in school to create a positive impact on the world? by Ashley - May 2025 Scholarship Essay

If allowed to have unlimited time and money, I would take the opportunity to create workshops that provided resources for children who are struggling in certain subject areas. Having to have grown up in a household where my only instructional time was in school, I often struggled in subjects such as math. That is why, as a parent, I always free up my time to identify the problem areas that my children may suffer in while enrolled in school.
If given the opportunity, I would find ways to provide parents, teachers, and youth with the needed resources to allow students to grow to their full potential. As a future educator, I want to be able to know all the signs of when a student is shying away because they are not as knowledgeable in certain areas. I would use that knowledge to show other teachers what to expect from their students. I would then use my time to offer tutoring services that would allow one-on-one help or group activities that would bring out the full potential of the children who will mold our future.
Unlimited time would allow me to research methods that would give me a head start on creating strategies that can someday be used in classrooms all over the world to produce top scholars. I want to have the funding that will allow me to implement programs that can provide assistance after school and during the summers for the youth.
