World Peace. It is what many of us have wished for as we blow out the candles on our birthday cake or what we may ask for in our prayers at night. There are few individuals in the world that have actually contributed to this cause on a global level. These individuals should be recognized for their love for humanity and unselfish service to all mankind. As a committee member for the Nobel Peace prize, these two qualities are what recipients must possess.

As members of the human family, a Nobel Peace prize recipient would recognize the value of each human being and concern themselves with global human welfare. An example would be an individual who put their own lives at risk to save others in dire need. Many of us serve in our communities and show love to our neighbors, but a Nobel Peace prize recipient would need to have found a way to unite the world through service and love. Though the world will continue to spin in turmoil, there are those individuals who have made a huge impact (in their own way) to world peace. We can see many examples of these fine qualities in past recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize. It is an honor to find these individuals and award them with the highest honor that one can receive.
