I think out of all the great benefits a college degree offers, the single greatest benefit would be that it can get you a job in the place of employment you are looking for. This, however, is not the only benefit, as the college behind it offers you plenty of information throughout the courses. Many jobs require a degree no matter your skill level. Though this is not the most ideal scenario, a degree can assist you in this situation. The skills you learn in college can help if you are coming from a background of little experience. Even if you are well acquainted with the job path, college can give you even more knowledge to surpass others and ensure a spot in the job you want. A degree, especially of higher standard, can separate you from the rest of the applicants assuming the job opening has multiple takers. While a degree is helpful in these aspects, they are not needed for every job. There are jobs that could hire you off of a certificate from a trade school as well. These jobs often go to make equal pay or even more than most degree jobs. The system does not make as much sense as it is portrayed, because of the tons of student loans young people deal with early on in life.
