My 2021 New Year's Resolution by Ash - December 2020 Scholarship Essay

While New Years resolutions are not always beneficial, realistic goals are. My educational goal for 2021 is to become more organized through my transition from high school to college. While my transition will most likely be smoother than others since I already take college classes through attending Middle College, it will still be difficult without those teachers to assist. Organization can significantly help with both schoolwork and personal matters such as paying for college and keeping those documents.
Since I have not always been the best with organizing my work in the past, I will try to commit to a certain way of organizing things, especially using a planner. A planner helps me to visualize when certain things are due and keep up with these due dates more easily than trying to remember them all on my own. I also want to have a dedicated folder for important documents such as financial transactions and my high school transcript.
Thus, my educational New Years resolution for 2021 is to stay more organized using a planner and a designated folder for important documents. These changes and improvements will help me with keeping up with a my new college schedule, meeting deadlines for assignments and such, and keeping records and documents.
