Physics Deserves More Emphasis by Arlyssea - November 2021 Scholarship Essay

I believe that physics deserves more emphasis in school. When I decided to take physics, I did not know entirely what to expect. I knew very little about the course and believed that I would do poorly in the class. Admittingly, the very beginning was challenging, but after a while I started to understand physics a lot more. Even though it has been challenging, I still really like physics and am grateful that I decided to take this course.
Physics is important because it enables anyone who uses it to grasp the nature of the universe and everything within it. It allows for people to understand the world beyond its biological components. When you learn about different units in physics, such as gravitation and circular motion, you are able to understand why things in the universe work the way they do. You are also able to calculate what would happen if the world, or as a matter of fact any element of the universe, changed in any way. Without physics, you would never have a definitive answer as to why the universe is composed the way it currently is.
While physics may be a challenging subject, it is still important and deserves more emphasis. When you learn physics, you learn more than just the biological and chemical aspects of the universe. You are able to understand and calculate the hidden components that make the universe complete.
